Efficient Parallel Architecture for Linear Feedback Shift Registers

IEEE--2015 VLSI

This project presents a new parallel architecture for linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs), which can be used to achieve high-throughput BCH or CRC encoders for storage and communication systems.

An Area- and Energy-Efficient FIFO Design Using Error-Reduced Data Compression and
Near-Threshold Operation for Image/Video Applications

IEEE TRANSACTION---VLSI---2015

In this project, we propose an area- and energy-efficient FIFO
design. On architecture level, a technique named as FIFOwith error-reduced data compression (FERDC) is proposedto reduce the FIFO size. This reduces both area and powerconsumption of the FIFO with negligible distortion.

A Low-Power Architecture for the Design of a One-Dimensional Median Filter

This project presents a low-power architecture for the design of a one-dimension median filter. It is a word-level two-stage pipelined filter, receiving an input sample and generating a median output at each machine cycle.

A study of Recursive Least Squares (RLS) adaptive
filter algorithm in noise removal from ECG signals

MATLAB--SIGNAL PROCESSING---IEEE-2015

The main aim of this project is the implementation of Extended Kernel Recursive Least Squares Adaptive Filtering Algorithm for the filtering of five different noises that occur in ECG signals during data acquisition. Adaptive filters adapt their filter coefficients with the continuous change of signal using adaptive algorithms, providing the optimum noise removal features for non-stationary signals like ECG.

Result-Biased Distributed-Arithmetic-Based Filter Architectures for Approximately Computing the DWT

IEEE TRANSACTION---2015---VLSI PAPER

This project proposes a general method to implement a discrete wavelet transform architecture based on distributed arithmetic to produce approximate results. Distributed arithmetic is a general and effective technique to implement multiplier less filters.
