HEALTH MONITORING AND ALERTING SYSTEM USING

GSM AND IOT TECHNOLOGY

ABSTRACT:

The project intends to interface the Raspberry Pi 3 with the sensors and sends the information of health conditions of the patient to the doctor and to the web server as well. The project uses the Embedded Systems to design this application. The main objective of this project is to design a system that continuously monitors the health parameters of the patient and if any one of the values is likely to exceed the normal values, the system immediately sends the status to the doctor’s mobile.
This project is a device that collects data from the sensors, codes the data into a format that can be understood by the controlling section. The Raspberry Pi board will collect the sensors digital data from the ADC output. The ADC is used to convert the sensors’ analog date into equivalent digital values.

            This project describes, to monitor the ECG values, Body temperature, blood pressure are measured and given to Raspberry Pi 2 board. For every sensor output, we set a threshold value. If any of these sensor values cross that threshold limit, then the buzzer will blow and the alert message will send to the doctor and to the relatives using the GSM module. Besides that for every specific time period, those parameters are sent to the thingspeak web server.  Wi-Fimodule is used to send the sensors data to the user webpage. Up-to-date information was shown on webpage so that from worldwide we can monitor the patient parameters.
